ALL SCHOOLS MOVE TO REMOTE INSTRUCTION

(Posted November 2, 2020)

Jonesport Elementary, Beal's Elementary and Jonesport/Beals' High School will move to remote learning effective tomorrow, November 3 and lasting through Friday of next week, November 13th. School breakfast and lunches will be available starting Wednesday, Nov 4 at Stewart's Grocery in Jonesport.

School staff will be in attendance at school for these days and available for remote instruction as well as phone calls or Google Meetings/Zoom Meetings. Please reach out to your teacher should any student have any questions about their assignments or participation in remote instruction. Students in the early grades who may have instructional packets can reach their teachers by phoning the school.

This move to remote learning was implemented because a person associated with Beals and Jonesport Elementary has been diagnosed with COVID. Several close contacts at JES are being tested this week and we hope to have a status of any possible transmission of COVID to others by then. Some individuals at Beals and the High School are also secondary contacts and we will be awaiting their test results as well.

The schools will keep everyone up to date about plans for instruction from November 16th and forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
