Welcome to Union #103 & Moosabec CSD on the coast of beautiful Downeast Maine! Our schools represent the communities of Jonesport and adjacent Beals Island. We're located on a scenic 11-mile peninsula and the home of a large lobster-fishing fleet. You can watch fishermen hauling their traps and delivering the day's catch at waterside markets.  This area offers spectacular views of the islands of Eastern Bay.

Moosabec CSD and School Union No. 103 seek to ensure that all children within its jurisdiction are identified, located and evaluated who are age 3 through the school year in which they turn 20 and who are in need of special education and supportive assistance including homeless children, state wards, state agency clients, students who have been suspended or expelled, children attending private schools receiving home instruction, children incarcerated in county jails, children who have absences during a school year, highly mobile children (including migrant or homeless), and children who are suspected of being disabled and in need of special education and supportive assistance even though they are advancing from grade to grade.  References:  34 C.F.R. § 300.111 (2006); Maine Department of Education Reg. ch 101, IV(2) (2007).  Please contact the Director of Special Services at 497-2882 if you desire further information.
