Elementary School - Student Programs
A number of educational
student programs have been installed on the elementary school
servers. These programs are automatically served out to each client
desktop (computer) in a folder named Application Explorer. The Application
Explorer
folder will load itself on the desktop of each computer when the
student account is used to logon. You can acquire the student logon name and password
at your school's office.
Windows XP
Make sure the Workstation Only checkbox (located lower left on the
Novell Client for Windows logon screen) is not checked. Type in the student logon name
- press Tab. When the cursor shows up in the password box type in
the password. Click OK.
Windows 98
Make sure the Workstation Only checkbox (located lower left on the
Novell Client for Windows logon screen) is not checked. Type in the student logon name.
Type in the password. Click Tree and select JES_TREE or BES_TREE.
Click Context and select JES or BES. Click Server and select
JESHOST or BESHOST. Click OK.
Look for a Application
Explorer folder
on the desktop. Double click the Application Explorer folder to open, double
click JES_TREE or BES_TREE, double click STUDENT_GROUP.JES or
STUDENT_GROUP.BES to access the
student programs.
