SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS – PARENT GROUPS

The Board recognizes and endorses the concept that community participation in the affairs of the school is essential if the school district and community are to maintain mutual confidence and respect and work together to improve the quality of education for all students.

The Board also encourages all school employees to make their relations with the community an integral part of their efforts on behalf of the students.

For these reasons, the Board agrees to accept parent volunteer groups to participate in school affairs under the following conditions:

    1. That the parent volunteer group first meet with and receive the endorsement of the Principal and
        the Superintendent, after which

    2. The parent volunteer group shall meet with and receive the endorsement of the Board.
